Why a limits sheet?
Talking about limits gets easier when you do not have to remember everything on the spot. A sheet gives you and your partner something concrete to look at together: what is a clear no, what is a maybe with conditions, what you would like to explore and what you already know you enjoy.
It is a starting point for a conversation, not a contract. Limits can change over time, and anyone can change their mind at any moment, also in the middle of a session.
Private by default
- Signed in, your sheet reads your own library. Only you can see it unless you choose to share entries with partners.
- Without an account, your picks and notes are saved in this browser on this device only.
- Section notes are kept on this device. Nothing is published.
- On a shared device, use "Start over" when you are done.
How it works
Collect your entries
Signed in, your sheet is built from your personal library. Without an account, search our library and set a preference for each entry.
Sort by preference
Entries land in four groups: hard limits, soft limits and maybes, curious, and favorites.
Add notes
Write a short note for each group, like conditions, words to use or what you want to talk about first.
Print or share
Print it or save it as a PDF, or copy the text and send it to your partner.
Questions about the limits sheet
What is the difference between hard and soft limits?
A hard limit is a clear no that is not up for negotiation. A soft limit, or maybe, is something you might do under certain conditions: slowly, with a specific person, after talking it through, or only at a certain intensity.
Where do the entries come from?
If you are signed in, from your personal library: everything you saved with a preference, including your own entries. Without an account, you pick entries from our library of kinks, fetishes, toys, practices and power dynamics.
Can I add something that is not in the library?
Yes. Signed in, create your own entry in your library. Without an account, add it right here with your own wording. You can also write anything in the notes for each group.
Should we fill one in together?
Each person fills in their own sheet. Then compare them side by side and talk about where they meet, where they differ and what needs more conversation.
How do I keep it as a PDF?
Choose "Print or save as PDF" and pick "Save as PDF" as the printer in the dialog. The page prints in a clean, light layout without the website around it.
